A practical approach to a topic that changes faster than textbooks: from intuition, through experiment, to a conversation about responsibility.

Artificial intelligence is a topic students bring up themselves, usually before it appears in the lesson plan. Motivation is already there. The difficulty is that the topic needs intuition, practice and a conversation about consequences at the same time.
In grades 7–8 the goal is not the formal mathematics of machine learning. The goal is understanding that a model learns from data, that data has an author, and that a result can be judged.
Instead of a definition, start with a question: how does an app know there is a cat in the photo? Students arrive at the idea of training examples themselves, and the definition later has something to attach to.
A short task where students change the input and see a different result does more than two lessons of theory. What matters is that the experiment ends with a conclusion written in their own words.
AI naturally leads to questions about privacy, bias in data and the reliability of information. This is the best moment for digital hygiene, because students already have concrete experience from the lesson.
Digital material only changes a lesson when students can act, the system reacts, and the teacher sees the result.
